Our team

Daria Khaltourina, the Chair of the Board of the Council for Public Health and Demography, is a sociologist, a demographer, and an activist. Daria advocates the state policy and social changes leading to the decrease in mortality and life expectancy increase, including the measures for disease prevention and innovative biomedical technology development. Daria is a Board Member of the International Longevity Alliance, as well as the Co-Chair of the Russian Anti-Tobacco Coalition and of the Russian Coalition for Alcohol Control. She has authored and co-authored 9 monographs and more than 100 articles on anti-crisis social management, public health and demography. 

Andrey Korotayev, Ph.D., the Board Member of the Council for Public Health and Demography is a Russian scientist and a public figure. He is a Senior Research Fellow in the International Laboratory of Political Demography of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. Andrey is the author of more than 500 academic publications in the areas of demography, sociology, history, economy, future studies. He is interested in searching the opportunities to influence demographic and social indicators with the purpose to improve people’s health and the quality of life, to address social problems, and to reduce mortality. 

Victor Zykov is the Executive Director of the Council for Public Health and Demography. He is a lawyer, and a Member of the Expert Council for Law Enforcement by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. Victor is a specialist in the fields of local and global health olicy analysis focusing on non-communicable disease prevention, tobacco and alcohol control, as well as on biomedical technology regulation. Victor has been active in the areas of popularization of science and of biomedical research in particular.  

Elena Milova, the Coordinator of the Program on Ageing Prevention and Life Extension. Elena is a psychologist and a pedagogue by education. She has great activism experience in the area of science promotion including health-saving technologies, healthy lifestyle research, and life-long intelligence development methods. She is a skilled manager who has conducted a number of projects, including online crowdsourcing projects, futurist TV-show production, as well as a number of public events and scientific conferences. 

Maria Fedorkova, a Scientific Editor, is an Assistant Researcher in the Laboratory of Biophysical Methods for Diagnostics of the Scientific Research Institute of Physical Chemical Medicine. Maria is a devoted science popularizer promoting bioengineering ageing control.
